The Negros Press Club, in partnership with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), is set to hold a media literacy seminar tomorrow, August 16, at the L’Fisher Chalet.
During a meeting yesterday, Press Club President Renato Duran said he expects over 150 to attend the seminar.
Members of the media from Bacolod City, Dumaguete City, the provinces of Bohol and Iloilo, along with information officers from across Negros Occidental are expected to attend.
He said the seminar is aimed at enhancing the understanding and appreciation of the complex and critical role the media plays.
ABS-CBN news anchor and reporter Alvin Elchico and Philippine Press Institute (PPI) Executive Director Ariel Sebelleno are both expected to attend the event and speak on the issue of ethical standards./WDJ
