The Negros Press Club 40-Under basketball team and the Negros Occidental chapter of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas (KBP) 40-Up basketball team secured wins over the weekend in the first leg of the 2017 KBP-NPC Fellowship Games at the STI-West Negros University (STI-WNU) gym.
The Negros Press Club 40-Under squad came out on top, 53-46, in one division; while KBP won 63-57 in the other.
Despite the loss, Mark Salanga led KBP with 23 points. Meanwhile, Nico Delfin and Ruel Bangoy led scoring for the Negros Press Club with 11 points each.
In the 40-Up category, Armando Espina led KBP with 29 points.
In volleyball, KBP swept the Negros Press Club in the men’s division; however, the latter won in the ladies’ category./WDJ
