Rench Isaac Soriano, a 16-year-old dance student of the Dance Pull School of Performing Arts in Bacolod City, was named one of two Youth Asian Grand Prix Award recipients over the weekend at the Asian Grand Prix International Ballet Competition in Hong Kong.
According to the award giving body, the honor is bestowed upon those who demonstrate exceptional talent and a high standard of artistry and technique.
Along with the award, Soriano wins a full scholarship to the New Zealand School of Dance and HK$30,000, or nearly P196,000.
The competition is an annual event in Hong Kong, which invites international juries, tutors, and ballet stars to participate./WDJ
