A 19-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by a bus along the national highway, part of Purok Roadside, Barangay Poblacion Dos, Sagay City, Negros Occidental Monday morning.
Police identified the fatality as Karen Villegas, a resident of the said barangay.
Reports released by Sagay City Police Station traffic investigators said the bus, driven by Franklin Postrano, struck Villegas while she was crossing the road.
Villegas was rushed to the city’s district hospital, but was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.
Postrano, meanwhile, surrendered to the Sagay City Police Station and may face vehicular manslaughter charges./WDJ
