Anti-drug operatives from Police Station 6 (PS6) seized almost P310,000 worth of suspected shabu following a buy-bust operation at Doña Juliana Drive, Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City, Tuesday evening.
Police identified the arrested suspect as 29-year-old John Ernst Gonzales, a resident of Barangay Singcang-Airport in the said city.
PS6 commander, Police Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel, said Gonzales was a street level drug target.
Authorities are currently verifying if the suspect was also on the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) drug watchlist.
Sedel said they recovered a total of 62 sachets of suspected shabu, which were all placed inside a sock.
Gonzales, meanwhile, denied allegations the drugs were in his possession.
The suspect is facing illegal drugs charges and is presently detained at PS6./WDJ
