The Sipalay City Airport, a 10-hectare facility located in Barangay San Jose, opened earlier this week with a blessing and inauguration ceremony, along with regional airline company AirJuan launching services to Cebu City.

Wednesdays and Sundays would offer flights from Sipalay City to Cebu City and vice versa, while Mondays and Thursdays would see flights from Sipalay City to Iloilo City and back.
Flight time from Sipalay City to Cebu City takes 30 minutes and costs P2,000, while Iloilo City flights cost less than P2,000.
Montilla was present at the event, alongside Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr., Negros Occidental sixth district Rep. Mercedes Alvarez, Sipalay City Vice Mayor Maria Gina Lizares, AirJuan Chairman John Gutierez, among others./WDJ
