Three suspected drug pushers nabbed in Victorias City

Three suspected drug pushers were caught in a buy-bust operation along Angeles Street, Canetown Subdivision, Barangay 19-A, Victorias City, Negros Occidental, Monday afternoon.
Police identified the suspects as Gerry Torreña, 31, a resident of Wet Market in the said barangay; Jelon Padonio, 28, of Barangay 20 in the said city; and Bernie Torreña, 33, of Hacienda Sta. Cruz in the same city.
Victorias City police chief, Police Superintendent German Garbosa, said they confiscated two small and two elongated sachets of suspected shabu, the P300 marked money, suspected drug proceeds amounting to P200, and drug paraphernalia from Torreña.
Meanwhile, a small sachet of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia were each seized from Padonio and the elder Torreña.
The suspects face charges in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and are under the custody of Victorias City Police Station./WDJ
