The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) recently announced they will be conducting an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) briefing and Kumpas Barangay, a barangay interaction program created by the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte, in Barangay Granada tomorrow, August 4.
The ASEAN briefing will take place at the Department of Trade and Industry-Bacolod City (DTI-Bacolod) Negosyo Center at 8:30 a.m. Lorenzo Lambatin, Jr. of PIA is expected to give an overview of ASEAN, while Lilibeth French of PIA-Region VI (PIA-6) will discuss freedom of information (FOI).
Kumpas Barangay will begin at 2:00 p.m. and is expected to see over 50 participants.
Barangay Granada Captain Alfredo Talimodao will address participants, while Dr. Rommel Amihan of DTI will discuss various programs provided by the agency and Rosalyn Rubrico of the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) will speak on the welfare benefits.
The first Kumpas Barangay in Bacolod City was held in Barangay Singcang-Airport back in March and was attended by Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar./WDJ
