A suspected drug pusher was caught in a buy-bust operation by the Tanjay City Police Station in Barangay 1, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, Monday morning.
Police identified the suspect as 41-year-old Margarito Alota, a resident of Sitio Cogon 2, Barangay San Jose Dos in the said city.
Reports by Tanjay City police said Alota was arrested after handing one sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer, in exchange for P500.
A subsequent search yielded another sachet of suspected shabu, with an estimated market value of P500; the marked P500 bill; and one red mobile phone.
Alota faces illegal drugs charges and is under the custody of Tanjay City Police Station./WDJ
