Man stabbed in Pontevedra pisonet

A 24-year-old man was stabbed following a fist fight at a pisonet shop at Hacienda Montserrat, Barangay DSB, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, Sunday evening.
Police identified the victim as Junro Telic and the suspect as John Mark Durdas, both residents of the said barangay.
The Pontevedra Municipal Police Station reported a team of cops, led by Senior Police Officer 4 (SPO4) Rafael Eligio, Jr., conducted an initial investigation and discovered Durdas was seen by Telic’s brothers, Jessruh and John Vincent, inside the pisonet shop.
The victim allegedly waited for Durdas to exit the shop and a fist fight ensued, however, the suspect was armed with a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim.
After the incident, Durdas fled while the victim was brought to the hospital for medical assistance.
Pontevedra police are conducting a follow-up operation against the suspect./WDJ
