Bacolod City Councilor wins business, leadership award

In a ceremony at the Okada Manila over the weekend, Bacolod City Councilor Wilson Gamboa, Jr. was named a recipient of the Elite Business and Leadership Award (EBALA).
Alongside Gamboa, Masbate third district Rep. Scott Davies Lanete, 1-Pacman Party-list Rep. Mikee Romero, and Obando Mayor Edwin Santos were awarded for Leadership Achiever in Public Service.
Between 2013 and 2016, Gamboa holds the distinction of authoring the most ordinances passed, including regulating e-cigarettes, proposing the bike lane interloop, establishing skills training programs for barangays, among others.
He has also previously been the recipient of others awards, including the Golden Globe Annual Award for Business Excellence and Filipino Achiever in 2017 and the Extra Mile Hero Award in 2015.
EBALA is given to individuals who tops all the qualifying criteria deemed “important” for the award./WDJ
