With the recent donation of 1,000 koi fish for the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) fountain, Mayor Evelio Leonardia ordered the installation of a one-foot-tall nylon screen along the circumference of the structure.
According to building administrator, Engr. Amy Tentia, the screen will keep the fish from swimming out, as the fountain is built in an infinity-style; along with preventing onlookers from catching the fish.
The mayor also asked visitors not to harm the koi and discouraged feeding the fish, as they are on a prescribed diet./WDJ
