Philippine-Chinese ChaoShan Youth Chamber of Commerce President Kevin Lim recently penned a letter to Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, informing him his group, along with a 20-member Overseas Chinese Trade and Investment Mission delegation, would be arriving in the city today, July 31.
“We hope our visit will promote further cooperation between [the] Philippines and China,” the letter said.
The visitors from China are based across the country, including Hong Kong, Shantou, Tianjin, and Guangzhou.
According to City Development Council vice chairman George Zulueta, the mayor will meet with the delegation today to discuss possible business ventures in the city.
The guests will also be presented the economic profile of the city and take a tour of local tourist attractions and potential investment sites.
