Man stabbed in Sagay City brawl

A 30-year-old man was stabbed by unidentified suspects following a brawl at Purok Cunahap, Andres Bonifacio, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, late Thursday night.
Police identified the victim as Jessie Lumuntad, a resident of Purok Palao, Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
Reports released by Sagay City police said Lumuntad was walking with friends after a public dance when a group of unidentified suspects rushed them and began throwing punches.
During the brawl, the victim was stabbed by unknown suspects on the left portion of his body.
The unidentified suspects fled while Lumuntad was rushed to the Vicente Gustilo District Hospital in Escalante City. He was later transferred by the attending physician to the Provincial Hospital in Silay City for medical treatment.
