Ultron Extra earned a spot in the 36-and-above division semifinals of the Fil-Sino Athletic Club Inter-Color Basketball Tournament after recently defeating Ultron Touring, 89-86, at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym.
Despite a 66-56 lead by Ultron Touring heading into the final period, Michael Posa, Arvin Gustilo, and Efraim Valencia led the comeback for Ultron Extra, pulling off an 86-84 lead, before Alex Fernandez tied it up at 86-all.
Gustilo landed the decisive shot, scoring a three-pointer with three seconds left on the clock.
Valencia paced Ultron Extra with 27 points, followed by Gustilo with 22 and Kendrick Deloria with 12.
Meanwhile, Sprint 4t Enduro earned a spot in the 35-and-below division semifinals after beating Rev-X All Terrain, 101-86.
Robbie Jalandoon led the victors with 17 points, followed by Kako Lacson with 15 and Jason Yap, Sukhraj Sekhon, and Brix Arrobang each adding 10.
However, despite the loss, RJ Iligan scored a game-high 30 points for Rev-X All Terrain./WDJ
