The ladies’ volleyball teams of Ateneo de Manila University and Perlas-BanKo are scheduled to play an exhibition match at STI-West Negros University on August 21.
Former local talents are expected to participate, including former St. John Institute (SJI) athletes Kassandra and Candice Gequillana for AdMU and former University of St. La Salle (USLS) athlete Gizelle Tan for Perlas-BanKo.
Also expected for AdMU are Jhoanna Maraguinot, Bea de Leon, Madeleine Madayag, Kat Tolentino, Pauline Gaston, Jennelle Lo, Julianne Samonte, Bettina Abella, Ana Gopico, and Deanna Wong.
Meanwhile, Perlas-BanKo is anticipating participation by Amy Ahomiro, Sasa Devanadera, Suzanne Roces, Kara Acevedo, Jorella De Jesus, Amanda Villanueva, Kathy Bersola, Mae Tajima, Jemenea Ferrer, and Nicole Tiamzon.
Prior to the meeting in Bacolod City, the two teams also plan to face-off at another exhibition event at the University of San Agustin gym as part of the Iloilo City Charter Day celebration.
“This is a rare opportunity to witness quality games,” noted organizer Ruding Villaruz.
