Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. offered positive remarks for President Rodrigo Duterte’s State of the Nation Address (SONA), which was delivered earlier this week.
During a press conference yesterday morning at the Provincial Capitol, the governor said Duterte has the true makings of a strong leader for the Filipino people.
“For me, he is the right president at the right time,” he said.
Marañon also lauded the president’s efforts to quell the ongoing problems in Mindanao.
The governor, however, suggested everybody “do their part,” saying Duterte cannot complete his work without the full support of the people.
Earlier, Bacolod City officials have called the SONA “comprehensive,” offering a generally positive response./WDJ
