A woman was wounded following the explosion of a grenade at Sitio Guilungsuran, Barangay Siapo, San Jose, Negros Oriental last Friday.
Police identified the victim as Editha Peras Morales, resident of the said barangay.
According to a police report, the victim and her live-in partner were on their way home when an explosion occurred 10 to 15 meters from their location.
However, the victim was not able to recognize the suspects or their accomplices.
When the injuries on the victim were noticed, the two left the area and sought help from nearby residents and was brought to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The San Jose Police Station is currently conducting a follow-up investigation into the possible identification of the suspects and their motive, as well as the type of grenade used./WDJ
