The ongoing construction of the Magsaysay flyover along Araneta Street is on schedule, according to Bacolod City Lone District Rep. Greg Gasataya.
Gasataya made the clarification amid speculations construction had stopped.
He explained, the columns have already been put in place, but it needs a 21-day curing period before workers can install the flyover itself.
He said the P600 million project will be completed by November but, with the present pace of the project, the flyover could be done by October, in time for the MassKara Festival.
Gasataya noted, Bacolod City can expect a total of P1 billion worth of infrastructure projects this year, including the Bacolod Economic Highway, drainage projects in the area of Lopue’s East and Mandalagan, along with multi-purpose and farm-to-market roads./WDJ
