

During their recent meeting, Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares III and Nikki Lopez Benitez, wife of Negros Occidental third district Rep. Alfredo Benitez, were accompanied by Talisay City Vice Mayor Sam Siote; City Council Member Nicolai Jalandoni; Dr. Erwin Dizon and Jake Manalastas of the Makati Medical Center; Assistant City Administrator Ismael Penado; Talisay City Health Officer, Dr. Joy Gladys Guanzon; Sangguniang Panlungsod Secretary Josel Faisan; Community Affairs Head Marlyn Simondo; Jeceryl Jover; and Mary Ann Dino.
Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares III and Nikki Lopez Benitez, wife of Negros Occidental third district Rep. Alfredo Benitez, recently met to discuss plans for a three-day medical and surgical mission at the Teresita Locsin Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, with screenings expected to take place between October 7 and November 9, 2017.
Anticipated to participate in the event is a medical team from the Makati Medical Center, which will include surgeons and operating room nurses, expected to perform procedures related to the thyroid; hernias; cleft lip and palate; gallbladder stones; and obstetric and gynecological cases, including ovarian cysts and small breast masses; among others.
Lizares suggested to city residents who plan on seeking the free services to coordinate with the Talisay City Health Office for pre-screenings./WDJ
