Ceres beats Davao, 2-0

Midfielders OJ Porteria and Stephan Schröck led Ceres-Negros FC to a 2-0 victory over Davao Aguilas FC in their Philippines Football League (PFL) match over the weekend at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
The game picked up quickly, after Schröck hit the woodwork in the 19th minute, Porteria converted the first goal shortly after, in the 27th minute.
The home side went into the half up 1-0.
Ceres would go on to double their lead in the 57th minute, through a strike by Schröck.
During the post-match press conference, Ceres coach Risto Vidaković pointed out the defensive approach employed by Davao.
“It’s not easy to play when one team is defending with ten players in front of the goal,” he noted.
The win keeps the Negrense club with an undefeated home record in the PFL./WDJ
