Paralympic Games held at USLS

In observance of National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, the University of St. La Salle (USLS) hosted the 5th Paralympic Games earlier this week.

In observance of National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, the University of St. La Salle (USLS) hosted the 5th Paralympic Games, with around 130 athletes from 48 Bacolod City barangays participating. (PIO photos)

Around 130 athletes from 48 Bacolod City barangays participated in events including sitting volleyball, powerlifting, table tennis for the orthopedically challenged, and running and swimming for the hearing and visually impaired.

Barangay Handumanan came out on top, winning sitting volleyball, powerlifting, and table tennis.

The said barangay was also named “Most PWD-Friendly” in the city./WDJ
