2018 AFC U-23 Championship qualification

Ceres-Negros FC defender Joshua Grommen was recently called up to join the Philippine national under-23 (U-23) squad, who, as of press time, are taking on Japan at Cambodia’s Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium in the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship qualification stage.

Japan is the defending tournament champion.

The Philippines is drawn in Group J, which also includes final tournament host China and qualification group host Cambodia.

The winner of the group automatically earns a berth in the final tournament, which runs from January 9 to 27, 2018.
