SM City Bacolod celebrates National Children’s Book Reading Day

Students from Sum-ag Elementary School, La Consolacion College Integrated School, and the Bacolod Homeschoolers Network gathered at SM City Bacolod yesterday for National Children’s Book Reading Day.

Participants also received a set of books and educational materials from SM and National Bookstore.
Arvin Gee Losañes of a leading business process outsourcing firm in the city read “Bumabaral-Bara-Bara!,” by Fernando Rosal Gonzalez, about proper waste disposal, recycling, and taking care of the environment.

Bacolod City Councilor Cindy Rojas read “Two Friends, One World,” by Ramon Vicente Sunico, about friendship; while Arvin Gee Losañes of a leading business process outsourcing firm in the city read “Bumabaral-Bara-Bara!,” by Fernando Rosal Gonzalez, about proper waste disposal, recycling, and taking care of the environment.

Participants also received a set of books and educational materials from SM and National Bookstore.

Meanwhile, a set of 100 books were donated to the Sum-ag Elementary School library.

Department of Education-Bacolod (DepEd-Bacolod) education supervisor, Dr. Janalyn Navarro, was also on hand to encourage children to explore the world through reading./WDJ
