The Bacolod City government observance of National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week kicked off last Monday with a motorcade, followed by the launch of the PWD (Persons with Disabilities) Employment Desk at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC).

Bacolod City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) head Jose Ayco explained, the PWD Employment Desk is focused on assisting PWDs obtain jobs.
“This activity is special,” he said. “From this day forward, we will give attention to special people in our society, PWDs.”
NDPR Week activities planned for today, July 19, include a Paralympic competition from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the University of St. La Salle (USLS) and a movie screening from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at SM City Bacolod.
Tomorrow, July 20, beginning at 10:30 a.m., an Angel Walk will take place at SM City Bacolod.
On Friday, July 21, a medical mission will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon in the BCGC MassKara Hall.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, a first aid lecture-demonstration will take place on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Home for the Blind Center; and a floral offering ceremony will take place at Mabini Elementary School on Sunday, starting at 7:30 a.m./WDJ
