Samuel Co, former mayor of Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, was robbed over the weekend by unidentified burglars at a resort on Lakawon, part of Barangay Cadiz Viejo, Cadiz City.

Co, who was with his wife, told Cadiz City police their belongings, which included several pieces of jewelry, cash, and watches, and valued around P3.8 million, were stolen from their resort suite.

According to a report by investigators, the suspects gained entry through the window of the suite’s comfort room.

Police are currently conducting a follow-up operation as they have yet to uncover information as to the identity of the suspects./DGB, WDJ
