Following the appointment of Fire Chief Superintendent Leonardo Bañago as Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) chief, BFP-Negros Island Region (BFP-NIR) director, Fire Senior Superintendent Fred Trajeras, said he is prepared to step down if served a reshuffling notice.

In a report by Bombo Radyo-Bacolod yesterday morning, Trajeras pointed out, every time a new national fire chief assumes the post, the entire office is reshuffled.

The regional fire chief noted, he hopes Bañago will allow for additional deployments of BFP personnel to NIR.

He also hopes to see more fire stations activated in the region./DGB, WDJ
