A German national was found dead in his residence after he reportedly hanged himself at Purok Indian Mango, Barangay Bulanon, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, Wednesday.

Police identified the fatality as 60-year-old Jurgen Schweinberger, a resident of the said barangay.

Sagay City police chief, Police Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, said Schweinberger was discovered by his live-in partner in the house’s dirty kitchen.

Mansueto stated, based on their investigation, they did not find any sign of foul play; although, he stressed they have yet to determine why the victim took his own life.

He added, they are currently coordinating with the victim’s family, via the German Embassy, and waiting for an approval to conduct a post-mortem examination./DGB, WDJ
