Seven people were arrested after members of the Silay City Police Station carried out a buy-bust operation at Purok Yuhum Sawmill, Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, Tuesday morning.
Police identified the arrested individuals as Benny Pepito, Dennis Begasa, Jeorge Flores, Adrian Rubias, Romero Villanueva, Jingy Ramos, and Joshua Dela Torre – all residents of the said city.
In a report by the Silay City police, the main target of the operation was Pepito, who was identified a street-level target.
Officers immediately moved in after he handed one sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P300.
Begasa and Flores were also nabbed as they were in the vicinity during drug transaction.
Meanwhile, a separate team of police captured Rubias, Villanueva, Ramos, and Dela Torre after they were caught in the act of snorting illegal drugs as they were moving in to arrest Pepito.
Cops recovered a total of four sachets of suspected shabu, worth P4,000; drug paraphernalia; and suspected drug money amounting to P559.50.
All seven suspects are facing illegal drugs charges and are scheduled to undergo drug testing.
They are currently detained at the Silay City Police Station,/WDJ
