Commuter mugged in Silay City

A notorious robber and a companion allegedly mugged a commuter late Thursday evening at Phase 1-Carmela Subdivision, Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the victim as 19-year-old Alyssa Adara, a resident of Phase Four of the said subdivision.
Reports from Silay City police said Adara was on board a pedicab, heading to her home, when they were held up by the two suspects.
The suspects forcibly took her bag, containing several electronic gadgets and her wallet, which contained P1,000 in cash.
The suspects then boarded a light beige Toyota Avanza with no plate number and fled the area.
When cops interviewed Adara and the pedicab driver, they positively identified one of the suspects as Arnold Cuadra, a resident of Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, Bacolod City.
Cuadra is known to police as a notorious robber operating in Bacolod City and neighboring areas
Silay police are presently trying to probe the identity of the second suspect, while a follow-up operation is being conducted against Cuadra./WDJ
