SJI students prepare over 7,000 meal packs for Marawi City evacuees

Around 400 St. John’s Institute (SJI) high school students recently prepared a total of 7,452 meal packs.
Meal packs consist of fortified rice, provided by Rice Against Hunger, along with arroz caldo, ginataang monggo, and other dishes.

Around 400 St. John’s Institute (SJI) high school students recently prepared a total of 7,452 meal packs for Marawi City residents at evacuation centers after fleeing their homes amid the ongoing conflict between government forces and the Islamic State-backed Maute terror group.
The activity was initiated by the SJI student council and assisted by the school’s alumni group, the Equis Corporation, and Negrense Volunteers for Change.
Meal packs were also prepared for a feeding program in Cadiz City.
The meals consist of fortified rice, provided by Rice Against Hunger, along with arroz caldo, ginataang monggo, and other dishes.
Along with the meals, the students included messages of hope and love in the shipment./WDJ
