Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) acting director, Police Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, said formal charges have been filed against the three drug suspects caught with around P1 million worth of shabu in their possession.
The suspects, identified as 19-year-old Aisa Million, 24-year-old Rashel Tantua, and 24-year-old Nelrose Sulta, were recently arrested in a buy-bust operation along Mabini Street, Barangay 40, Bacolod City.
Wanky said the three are charged on violations of RA 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The acting city police director added, the three are considered “big-time drug dealers” in the area of Barangay 40 and reiterated an earlier statement by City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) chief, Police Inspector James Albaytar, that they had been the subject of police surveillance for several weeks before they were caught.
Earlier, police recovered a total of 21 big sachets of shabu from the suspects, which were later confirmed as the illegal substance.
All three are still detained at Police Station 6./WDJ
