A fetus was found inside a Ceres Bus Terminal comfort room in Sagay City, yesterday afternoon.
Sagay City police chief, Police Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, said, based on eyewitness accounts, a female student was seen entering the comfort room carrying a box which reportedly contained the fetus.
The fetus was supposedly dumped into a toilet bowl after which the student fled the area.
When the next user entered the toilet, she was surprised to find the bowl full of blood and would not flush, prompting her to contact a janitor, which led to the discovery of the fetus.
Mansueto said preliminary examinations are still being conducted in order to identify if the fetus is a male or a female.
He also stated it is not yet clear if the female student was the mother of the fetus or if she was instructed to dump the fetus in the toilet bowl./WDJ
