Talisay City police chief, Police Superintendent Adonis Rosales, faces possible sanctions following accusations of brawling with a local resident over the weekend.
According to Police Regional Office-18 (PRO-18) director, Police Chief Superintendent Edmund Gonzales, Romeo Moquero claimed he was punched in the neck by the police officer during a basketball game.
The accuser also claimed Rosales encouraged his fellow players to gang up on him.
“Police officers should always be calm and not emotional, so their profession will not be tainted,” said Gonzales.
The PRO-18 director has since directed Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) acting director, Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, to look into the case.
Gonzales added he has yet to decide if Rosales will be relieved during the investigation./WDJ
