Kabalikat ng Mamamayan (Kabayan) Party-list Rep. Harry Roque gave President Rodrigo Duterte “high marks” after completing his first year in office.
During a recent visit to Negros Occidental, Roque, who is also a professor at the University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law, gave Duterte a grade of 88, saying the president is doing a “good job” in winning the war against illegal drugs.
“The price of shabu is now at an all-time high, meaning, there is only a limited supply of shabu left,” Roque said.
He also lauded Duterte’s economic policies, explaining, “The administration has maintained six percent plus growth annually.”
However, Roque added there is still room for improvement, particularly with investigating and punishing those involved in extrajudicial killings.
Earlier, Negros Occidental third district Rep. Alfredo Benitez also gave a good rating to Duterte, noting improved relations with China and Russia.
Although, he expressed concern over the administration’s economic package, or “Dutertenomics,” describing it as a “good plan” but would reserve further comment until after implementation./WDJ
