Barangay Su-ay captain Cherrie Hope Belarga expressed her appreciation to the Himamaylan City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) for approving a P3 million supplemental budget, intended for the construction of a new public market.
In a message sent to Watchmen Daily Journal, she said the original Su-ay public market was hit by a fire last month, with damages estimated to be around P2 million.
According to Belarga, the original market was around 70 years old.
The new construction is expected to include 16 market blocks./WDJ
