2017 SEA Games PSC expected to spend P500M

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) recently announced participation in the upcoming Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, to be held next month in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, will cost approximately P500 million.
PSC executive director, Atty. Carlo Abarquez, itemized some of the expenditures, including P247 million for training camps, P80 million for airfare, P10 million for track suits, P60 million for equipment, and P8 million for footwear.
The Philippine contingent is currently comprised of 498 athletes, 163 coaches and trainers, 70 support staff, and 13 technical officials./WDJ
