The Negros Oriental-based Joint Task Force (JTF) Leon Kilat denied recent reports a member of the Islamic State-backed Maute group was arrested in the province.
Task Force Executive Director Bimbo Miraflor denied the San Jose municipal police arrested a suspected terrorist five days ago.
In response, he called on locals to be responsible in what they post on social media.
“Let us be prudent and responsible in posting sensitive information on social media platforms,” Miraflor stressed. “If there are questions, ask authorities.”
He added, current reports suggest there are no plans to conduct attacks in the province./WDJ
