A supplier of shabu was apprehended by police after they conducted a buy-bust operation at Purok Tahong, Barangay 2, Bacolod City, yesterday afternoon.
Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Micheal Piñoso, a resident of the said barangay.
Police Station 2 (PS2) commander, Police Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias, said they have been trying to arrest Piñoso since Monday, but only managed to catch up with him yesterday afternoon.
Villarias said Piñoso is a street-level drug dealer target and was identified by a recently arrested drug personality as the main supplier of shabu in the area.
Police managed to recover four elongated sachets of suspected shabu worth P4,000, suspected drug money worth P2,000, and the P1,000 marked money used for the operation.
Piñoso, meanwhile, vehemently denied the allegations.
The suspect is detained at PS2 and is facing charges of possession and sale of illegal drugs./WDJ
