Games and Amusement Board (GAB) Chairman Abraham Kahlil Mitra, alongside Commissioners Eduard Trinidad and Matthew Gaston, recently penned a letter to World Boxing Organization (WBO) President Francisco Valcarcel requesting a review of the recent WBO welterweight title bout where Australian Jeff Horn defeated Manny Pacquiao via unanimous decision.
“While we respect the decision, we are constrained to request for a thorough review by the WBO to identify possible miscalls of the referee,” the organization said in a statement.
They also called for a probe into the judges, questioning “varying opinions on their objectivity.”
The organization, however, noted they have no intentions of seeking a reversal of the decision./WDJ
