In light of Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. requesting a new list of nominees to fill the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director post, the current acting director, Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, indicated he is prepared for reassignment if he is not selected for the post.
According to Castil, the matter is only “standard operating procedure” and he will gladly accept any order issued by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Castil was named alongside fellow Police Senior Superintendents Moises Villaceran and Romeo Mangwag as initial candidates for NOPPO director.
He was earlier designated as acting provincial police director in March of this year after former NOPPO director, Police Senior Superintendent William Señoron, was sacked for alleged links to illegal drugs./WDJ
