Board Member: 700 vacant posts at the Provincial Capitol

Negros Occidental Provincial Board Member Salvador Escalante, Jr. recently revealed, of the 3,300 permanent positions at the Provincial Capitol, only 1,800 have been filled. However, there are 772 contractual employees with priority status for “regularization,” with half likely to be made permanent within the year.
He noted, a budget has already been allotted for the position, but personnel have yet to be assigned to the post.
The Provincial Board, meanwhile, recently passed an ordinance upgrading the Human Resource Management Office to a formal division, which increases personnel from 23 to 38./WDJ
