Online transport application Grab Philippines recently donated 400 raincoats to the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) during a turnover ceremony at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC).
According to Grab-Bacolod office manager Jocelyn Yoshida, traffic enforcers are “heroes.”
She noted, during a recent visit to the city, Grab country manager Brian Cu saw many traffic enforcers manning their posts in the rain.
“What caught his attention was the need to provide them with the needed protection from cold weather,” said Yoshida.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia expressed his gratitude for the donation.
“We are getting this at a time when we need it most,” he said, noting the rainy season is already underway in the province./WDJ
