According to a recent survey of 750 respondents by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), 77.5 percent consider three remote Iloilo hospitals, namely Aleosan District Hospital, the Dr. Ricardo S. Provido, Sr. Memorial Hospital, and the Jesus M. Colmenares District Hospital, “well managed.”
Respondents provided generally positive answers, including 76.7 percent saying they would recommend the hospitals to friends and family and 76.4 percent saying the hospitals deliver good services.
According to the Iloilo Geographically Isolated and Disadvantage Area Health System Strengthening Project manager, Prof. Han Dongwoon, the results endorse “continued investments in maternal and child health program.”
