During a visit to Iloilo last week, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Director General Ronald Dela Rosa, ordered the Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) to capture top Region 6 drug lord Richard ‘Buang’ Prevendido.
Both the PNP and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have tagged Prevendido as a leader of one of the two major illegal drug groups based in Iloilo City.
Immediately following the assassination of drug lord Melvin ‘Boyet’ Odicta, Sr. and his wife Merriam last year, it is said Prevendido went into hiding.
Meanwhile, Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. also offered a reward of P1 million for Prevendido’s capture./WDJ
