A farm laborer was rushed to a hospital in Bacolod City on Saturday after he was stabbed and shot by a still unidentified individual at Sitio Marikudo, Barangay Camangcamang, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the victim as 25-year-old Junjun Lsydsn, a resident of Sitio Kapaklan, Barangay Santol, Binalbagan town.
Isabela municipal police chief, Police Chief Inspector Edfel Balibadlan, said the victim was taking a bath at a water irrigation dam when he was assaulted by the suspect.
The suspect proceeded to stab the victim several times across the body and, before leaving, shot him in the left leg with an unknown caliber of firearm.
Lsydsn was rushed to the town’s district hospital for treatment, before being transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City.
Police are still trying to determine the identity and motive of the suspect./WDJ
