A 29-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at the reclamation area, Barangay 2, Bacolod City, Thursday evening.
Police identified the fatality as Christopher Vinson, a helper for a local trucking service and resident of Purok Paho, Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City.
Reports released by Police Station 2 (PS2) claim the victim was riding a motorcycle when he was shot by unidentified suspects, who were also riding a motorcycle.
Vinson suffered four gunshot wounds across his body and was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH), where he was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.
PS2 investigators recovered four empty .45 caliber shells, the victim’s motorcycle, personal belongings, and cash amounting to P8,000.
PS2 is currently conducting a follow-up investigation in order to identify and apprehend the suspects./WDJ
