Two dead after tanker truck plows into tricycle, car in Bago City

Two people are confirmed dead, while two others were rushed to the hospital, after a tanker truck plowed into an oncoming tricycle and car in Barangay Calumangan, Bago City, yesterday morning.
Police identified the fatalities as Nelson Daguio and Lawrence Cavile; while the injured were identified as Alexander Cavile and Ardee Jalea.
Based on investigations by Bago City police, the truck, driven by 39-year-old Richard Alvarez of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, first collided with a tricycle driven by Jalea, before encountering the car, carrying the remaining individuals.
The fatalities were killed on impact, while the injured were rushed to the Bago District Hospital.
Alvarez, meanwhile, was arrested by Bago City police and may face vehicular manslaughter charges./WDJ
