The Philippine delegation at the 2017 Asia Pacific Softball Tournament in Singapore won both the senior and little league divisions, yesterday.
The senior squad, bannered by Domingo Lacson National High School, moves on to the Senior League Softball World Series in Roxana, Delaware; while the little league team, bannered by the Education and Training Center School III, advances to the Little League Softball World Series in Portland, Oregon.
“We are very happy of the victory,” said Division of Negros Occidental Sports Coordinator Romeo Sison in a phone interview. “We can’t explain our feelings when our country was called and the national anthem was played; it’s different when you compete on the international level.”/WDJ
