During a recent ceremony at the Provincial Capitol, Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. turned over checks worth P11.15 million to fund projects in barangays throughout Negros Occidental.
P1,000,000 is going towards the construction of an overflow in Sagay City; P500,000 is intended for the renovation of the Barangay Daug People’s Hall in Hinoba-an; another P500,000 for concreting a farm-to-market road in Barangay Sta. Rosa in Murcia; P100,000 for the construction of bleachers in Barangay Bagroy in Binalbagan, among other projects.
Meanwhile, Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo and Vice Mayor Ramon Torres received a check worth P7.5 million for the purchase of an amphibious excavator-dredger./WDJ
